For this task I have a couple of examples from recordings of rehearsal sessions that my band and I, JAM, have done to and actual song that Charlie Barrett and I recorded and mixed together to show the level of quality that we are at from not knowing too much about production, we have learnt some though such as how to operate Logic properly and being able to use effects such as equalisers better. This has been improved by the music tech lessons that we have with Phil Minns and Johnny Giles because they show us how to use the software and how to add on effects, mix a track and sort out most issues that the software sometimes ends up creating. I am becoming more confident in my abilities using Logic so I have started to create tracks by myself, for example I made a Lo-Fi track using a drum beat I made, an electric and grand piano on the software using a midi keyboard and a free sample that I used from a website. This track turned out very well in my opinion and I am proud of it considering it is the only one I like and is in a genre that I enjoy listening to relatively often.
When I practise the guitar I sometimes use warm-ups to get my joints in my fingers looser so that I wont feel as stiff when playing, this helps to get me used to faster movements earlier on so I can get into either learning or making faster songs sooner. In terms of practise I do roughly about 20 minutes a day to make sure that I am on top of improving and each time I do I try to learn something new so that I can expand my knowledge of my instrument. On occasion I will also practise other instruments that I am starting to play so that I can become more confident in my ability and also understand them so that songs I can try and compose work and are playable on those instruments.
